6 Ways a Thriller!!!
From Pro Writing Aid!
6 TIPS FOR WRITING THRILLERS!
1. Sustained Suspense: Reveal a problem or raise a question but withhold the answer until your character has the strength and skills to figure it out.
2. Realistic Characters: Showing your character's flaws and relatable characteristics creates a connection between your reader and the protagonist.
3. Pacing is Vital: Thrillers are fast-paced, full of action and moments of conflict. Control how your readers feel by setting the pace.
4. Conflict Doesn't Need to Be Explicit: Let your reader's mind work-they'll create the scariest images because it'll connect to their own fears.
5. Breaking Point: There will come a breaking point where your main character will either take a dark turn, or they'll find themselves with their back against the wall.
6. Thrilling Climax: Your protagonist must face the toughest part of their journey and solve the mystery or beat the villain.
