Well written. I have spent months with the "Children of Durn" (dwarves) and the "Children of Bruna" (goblins) and trying to make their world seem realistic and lived in. I have included food, languages, religions, clans, geography, tools, professions, and other things that I added every time I asked myself 'How would they do that'? (I spent half a day's worth of time refining the care and feeding of giant cave spiders, so that there was a logical way to harvest spider silk that would be specific and logical to the Children of Bruna, but completely baffling and confusing to the Children of Durn)

Absolutely. That’s what world-building is exactly. Honing those fine details and bury their roots so they can grow into the story. This is how you do it and it’ll definitely pay off.
